Great local and regional emcees grace us with their presence, backed by none other than LP Stiles, to perform their heartfelt original songs in a way that truly brings Hip-hop alive.
LP Stiles will kickoff the event, at Triumph Brewing Company on Friday, December 9th, featuring 6 of their favorite emcees from Philly, New York, D.C., plus a full set from LP Stiles and live painting by Hungry Boy, Inc.
Future editions of this monthly hip-hop showcase hope to shed light on some of music’s most underexposed talent, inspire collaboration among artists, and start a Renaissance that will spread like fire.
LP Stiles recreates tracks from each emcee’s mixtape live on stage. Each emcee will also perform two impromptu freestyles with another emcee. Creation will happen before your eyes and you can see the hard work and creativity these artists have been putting into some of the hottest music you’ve never heard.
Hungry Boy, Inc. Will have a handful of artists painting live with inspiration from the music and the crowd. Finished works will also be available for sale.
Whatsup everybody? We hope this message finds you all well. Before this Thursday (September 15th), we wanted to make sure that we reached out to you to give you the skinny on a sick new monthly event that we’ve put together at Triumph Brewery in Old City Philadelphia.
The ‘LP Stiles Presents’ Series is our way of giving y’all the opportunity to see the versatility of what it is that we do. For those of you who haven’t been around in Philly for the past few months, here’s a little update for you: after being the first band in the history of J.C. Dobb’s to win the “Music-a-Live” Battle of The Bands, LP has been given some wonderful opportunities to branch out and work with some amazing artists around the city, specifically Kuf Knotz, Selina Carrera, Mic Stew, and Myke Storm, to name a few. After pumping out some new material, we figured, ‘Why not bring everyone we love to work with out to one event?!’ Duuuuhhh…
Here’s the scoop: One Thursday each month, you walk, drive, fly, parasail, or stumble down to Triumph Brewery at 117 Chestnut St. in Philadelphia, PAY A GRAND TOTAL OF ZERO DOLLARS TO GET IN, have a seat, order some delicious, frothy, and highly-satisfying microbrews, and let your ears unwind as we personally introduce you to a fresh batch of performers so delightful, you’ll forget you ever wasted your time with homemade Toll House cookies.
Who’s on this month?! Kuf Knotz, Myke Storm, Mic Stewart, MyMan Shafe, Nameen, and Rok Bottom, all backed by your’s truly.
Have a peek at the hype video from last month’s installment: \’LP Stiles Presents…\’
Peace Y’all.
